Why no redline on the tach?

My build date was 4/11. It's a Lariat FWIW.

Maybe just a difference between the lariat and fx then. Now I wonder if the xlt has a redline.

It could come in handy while driving in Manual mode. I think the manual states that it will downshift but not upshift so there's a risk of ruining the transmission (or something to that effect).

My 2011 FX4 has them. The red must be made in Japan and lost like the paint and the nav systems in the earthquake

my 2011 lariat doesn't have a redline . . . and I want one, don't know why, but I do.
