Default Who's been robbed?

So i get up this morning to go get some donuts for my family, and when i sit in my truck i realize my edge cts tuner and garmin GPS was taken from my truck last night. Come to find out about 2-3 other trucks were also hit on my street. Another was a Platinum f150 that still has paper plates.

I was curious if there was anyone who had been broken into lately. Sheriffs deputy told me there was supposedly a way to use the keypad on the door to get in. Not sure how much truth there is to that but curious never the less because im 99% sure i locked the truck up.

Stupid fools didnt take my Oakleys that were right under the GPS or even get in my console and take the bully dog tuner in there and my Pistol.

Guess im somewhat lucky but they did rip the wiring out for the backup camera that was hooked up to the edge

There was something about being able to pop up a corner of the keypad frame. It caused lil damage and was able to unlock it. I'd still rather lock it and take the risk of damage than to just give my items to them punks. Most car break ins are in unlocked vehicles, especially when there are several in a row. Not being a jerk but you've been burglarized not robbed. Robbed is a crime directly towards and against you. Burglarized is only involving property. At least in Ky. Sorry for your loss.

Anytime you put it in the shop - oil change or whatever - can't some punk recode a spare remote?

He has your address on the work order ...

Scum bag punks. That was a burglary. There is only one solution for a burglar. A bullet in the head.

I had my Ranger broken into one time. Stole the in-dash dvd/nav, iPod and radar. They decided to leave the Sirius (guess they knew it could be disabled.) I'm pretty sure it was a couple of kids in the neighborhood who probably saw me install the dvd/nav. When I talked to the police, they seemed to think that it could be the idiot sales rep @ circuit city that sold me the radio. A few of the break-ins were pretty soon after they bought the equipment at Circuit City. Never understood why they needed an address to sell you stuff. That is why I only buy anything for my truck from a shop I have been going to for a while and trust them.

Someone got into my uncles 2009 f-250 through the keypad, I'm not sure how though. And my dad is crazy because if we get down at a gas station (in our small town) he will leave the truck running and just lock it with the keypad!!! I'm afraid that one day we will come out of the gas station and there will be no truck!!!

Never put your home address in your GPS (tons of information where you shop, family etc.). I know it got stolen in your driveway but its the information insde that can hurt you more. Put your registration and insurance card in your wallet. Keep as little information about yourself in your vehicle as possible. Parking valet, detailers, etc can access this information easy. Sounds like their scoping out your pad when you leave for work. Never ever leave a firearm in your car get CWP . That's how violent crime spreads with stolen weapons.

I carry my pistol everywhere no matter where. Pocket pistols are awesome . Better to be judged by twelve than be carried by six.

When I bought my truck i didn't want the key pad due to this reason. Locks only keep honest people out.
