So at the risk of being flamed or starting another "debate" over which is best, I'm going to ask y'all for some "opinions" (which I know are like something else...everyone has one). So here goes...
My Christmas present this year was a new-to-me 2012 Oxford White F150 XLT with the chrome package. I like chrome so I will not being going the black-out route on this truck. It has obviously lots of white, black (including pin-striping down the side) and chrome...and dark gray 4x4 Off Road decals on the bed. I guess those are supposed to match the interior which is gray.
My first thought was to key off of the dark gray decals. I was thinking of doing my rocker panels in that color along with maybe the tailgate panel (sort of Platinum opposite) and the indentation in the center of the hood. I got a quote of over $700 to do all of that in vinyl wrap. Ouch. Figured I could Plasti Dip them a LOT cheaper but I've since looked at a lot of trucks here and elsewhere and decided that I like the rockers white like the rest of the truck.
I picked up some new Ford badges (the kind that come apart in 2 pieces) and plan to dip them and I want to dip the F150 badges as well. Here's where you come in...tell me which scheme you think would look best.
Option 1:
Dip the mirror caps white
Dip the F150 black inserts white but leave the chrome and the black XLT
Dip the Ford emblems white and leave the chrome
Peel the 4x4 Off Road decals
Possibly dip the grill surround white.
Option 2:
Dip the mirror caps white
Dip the F150 inserts white and the chrome anthracite gray and leave the black XLT
Dip the Ford emblems white and the chrome anthracite gray
Leave the decals
Possibly dip the grill surround white
Option 3:
Dip the mirror caps white (I think I'm sold on this idea )
Dip the F150 inserts white and leave the chrome and the black XLT
Dip the Ford emblems anthracite gray and the chrome white
Dip the tailgate panel anthracite gray
Dip the hood indentation anthracite gray
Leave the decals
Possibly dip the grill surround white
I'm also open to other variations...I'm sure there will be plenty. I obviously won't be doing anything until it warms up some in the 'Lou which it looks like might start to happen by the end of next week.
Option 3:

Minus ditch the decals and everything you wanted gray paint black. With the gray in my opinion that will be to many colors going on plus you aren't going with tons of chrome or tons of black. Plus the black will match the lower part of the mirror and the door handles.

So Option 4:
Dip the mirror caps white (I think I'm sold on this idea )
Dip the F150 inserts white and leave the chrome and the black XLT
Dip the Ford emblems white and leave the chrome
Dip the tailgate panel black
Dip the hood indentation black
Peel the 4x4 Off Road decals (I wish I could find them in White on White)
Possibly dip the grill surround white
My only concern with the tailgate panel black is that then the chrome tail lights won't look right. It looks awesome with the smoked out HD tails, but I don't want to go down the blackout path.
