Whirring sound when I let off the gas

My truck makes a humming sound (underneath) especially in 4th at around the same speed. When I let off the gas and just coast in gear. More pronounced with my tune. Not as much on stock.
Not sure if it is same thing. I figured this is normal?

When you say 4 speed + OD that is a 5 speed manual correct, I didn't know they made those in 2010.
Just thinking of it, when you press the clutch, is the noise still there or when coasting in gear only?

I'm really not sure. I didn't have time to check my gear oil level today. Kind of busy at work. But I did check my trans fluid. And that was OK. Going to get one of the guys at work to sit in the bed while I drive around the block one of these days. I'll keep you posted as to what happens. Hopefully it's nothing major.

I also have a 2010 stx, 2v 4x4 etc. My truck only has 23,000 miles and it has a similar noise upon initial startup and take off, from what I understand and have read its normal. With the 4 speed transmission and manual transfer case etc, there is not much that can go wrong compared to 2011+ models, less electronics etc. As others have mentioned check fluid levels, and wheel bearings. That would be my first go too. Bearing noise can sound a lot like a brake pad dragging or grinding. It can also sound like whirring, whining or humming depending on how it is worn. The best way to check for bearing damage is raise both back wheels if the noise is coming from the rear. Anytime you have multiple wheels of your vehicle off the ground, Make sure your vehicle is in neutral and the emergency brake is off. Make sure your wheels are blocked off so your truck doesn't roll! Next, spin both of the wheels. They should both spin freely and easily and continue to spin after you stop pushing them. If one wheel turns significantly harder than the other then it has a bad wheel bearing. If your wheel feels loose on your car and all the lug nuts are tight then you have an extremely damaged wheel bearing and should consider replacing it before driving the vehicle again.
