Question Where are the trucks built?

More than likely this has been answered here before, but I couldn't find it in the search area. Does anyone know where F-150's are built? My F-250 was built in Kentucky.

Interesting article in WSJ on the Mexico plants for the Fusion and Lincoln, BTW.

They are assembled in Dearborn and Kansas City, the engines I believe are made in Canada?

This is an interesting site that has a lot of information about their manufacturing plants and some other random stuff.

My truck was built at St. Paul, Minnesota at the Twin Cities Ford Assembly.

Its the oldest still operating Ford plant, it was built in 1924. It makes Rangers now.

The Edge and MKX are assembled there. (I pass that plant 3 days a week, I'll try to get a picture of the staging lot- there have to be 500 Edges back there!)

My brother works at that Kentucky Truck Plant (in Louisville). They make the 250 through the 550 I think.

My F150 was built in Dearborn.

I live just down the street from there, and my office just moved from around the corner from there..

I remember when it used to be the Winstar, then the freestar, now yeah, it seems to be the edge.

And to the original poster, My SCrew FX4 was built in Dearborn but my buddy's SCab XLT was built in Kansas I believe.

Good stuff above.

Also, the 11th position in the VIN tells which of the two plants.

F = Dearborn - Dearborn, Michigan
K = Kansas City - Claycomo, Missouri
