Default Wheel Nuts and Locks Question

What is the best type to buy McGard or Gorilla. 14x2.0 is correct size right?

This is for an aftermarket wheel. Most aftermarkets use cone nuts right?

14x2.00 is the correct size and idk what wheels you have so I can't confirm that you need cone. It all depends on the wheel as there are so many different shapes nowadays.

We sell Gorilla at work and I like them. I also like spline lugs as well. Spline lugs + Wheel Lock are a common set up I see.

I just called the company that I got the wheels from and they said that they are conical.

This should work right:
McGard McGard

Just my 2 cents but most lug nut locks are worthless.

I lost the key to my locks on my Mustang and searched the Mustang forums for a way to get them off.
I just had to use an 11/16 12 point socket and a hammer. It worked like a charm.

You can be sure the thieves know this as well

I agree that they're pretty easy to take off, but it may be a deterrent for someone looking for an opportunity. I went with a spline drive set by Gorilla, though don't expect it to do much more than annoy the tire place.

Spline lugs shouldn't annoy a tire shop. If they do any real large volume of sales they will have a large and small diameter spline key on every tool rack. We have boxes of them in our back room to give to customers and replace ones missing from the tool caddy.
