I used plastidip to see if would look good. Planning on painting it or maybe even trying vinyl. I thought it may be pretty easy to have a shop cut strips and put them on.

That is exactly what I thought it'd be too then you could put the emblems back on an have no issues. After peeling it back is when I saw there are clips on top and bottom. If remember right, two top two bottom and think one close to the Ford emblem.

Haha, at least they try, my uncle's mark lt had the rear appliqué ripped off and there was just a ford emblem hole underneath.

Good question mines falling off! I also have the back up camera so emoving wont be that easy. Im trying to figure out an easier way to get the applique re-adhered to the tailgate without too much work.

BTW-- I looked the aplique up on ford parts page--its a $1000 part!!

Any advice on how to get it back on? Can post pics later.

There was TSB for the Platinum tailgate applique because it would start falling off...go talk to your dealer.
