RCSB 5.0 is right.
Thats the 3 position switch that comes with the Rigid backup
light kit. Thats one of the best additions i made to my truck and I have the switch mounted in a similar location on my truck.
Maybe you got lucky and the previous owner just pulled the lights and left the harness intact. If so, two lights and you are in business. The harness is the hardest part of putting in the back up light kit.

harness check
Pop the hood and look at the battery to see if the harness is still there or connected. it should connect to the battery and run towards the drivers side firewall across the top of the radiator/shroud. Several wires should enter the passenger compartment at the drivers side through a grommet and the majority of the wires will turn down towards the frame and run under the truck to the rear.

there are a number of ways to run wiring, it doesn't necessarily have to connect to the battery, and it doesn't have to run across the top of the radiator shroud.
The first thing to do is to move your seat all the way back (give yourself room), then, on your back, put your flashlight under the dash along with your head and see *if* there are any wires connected to the switch. If there are, then note the colors of each wire. The trace them from there.
A thoughtful automotive electrician will avoid running wiring outside the cab of a truck, opting instead to run them under the door thresholds (pop up plastic pieces) toward the rear; through the grommet in the firewall toward the front.
Carefully check where the wires go to. Easy as that. HTH!
