SCT, hands down, has the best software I've ever used.

For custom tunes, search for mike @ 5star, I have read much about him and his tuning ability, he can also supply the handheld programmer, create new tunes for other performance parts you install, and just make your truck more fun to drive.

Either the SCT Livewire 9600, SCT SF3 3015 or itsx will be able to tune the vehicle the same, just depends on if you want one to be plugged in as a on screen display while the truck is running or not.

Either one will program the truck just fine.

Another bump for Mike @ 5 Star and I have an 09 5.43v with an sct x3.
Great thing about Mike is that he is very helpful and easy to get ahold of. Anytime I have a question I can either call him or email him and generally if he's not super busy he'll call me right back or shoot me an email with a tune revision or whatever.. Great Great Customer Service/Support.

how much does it usually cost for a custom tune from mike? and do the pre-loaded ones on the sct's compensate for air intakes? i intend to do the gott's mod only because i did it on my 99 f-150 with great success but i noticed some people had Lean problems without a programmer on the new models so i want to make sure this sct will keep that issue from happening as well.

When you get a tune you will fill out a form that lists the mods you have done
