What are the negatives of a leveling kit?
Kind of looking at the Auto Spring 1.5" kit. I measure a 1.5" rake on my 2010 Lariat SCAB when I measure from the concrete floor to the highest point of the wheel well. I like the leveled look but what are the negatives?
I'd probably keep the nearly new 275/65R18 Wild Country XTX tires that are on it for the foreseeable future--actually I'm really happy with their performance on our perpetually snow-covered roads this season. The suspension seems plenty firm so I don't see replacing shocks and struts anything soon either.

Although your mileage may change a very little bit, there are many other factors that hurt your mileage more than just a leveling kit. Improper inflation of your tires, wind, driving habits, and even a small load in the bed of the truck all probably decrease your MPG more than just a leveling kit. One downside to them is if you put a significant load in the bed you'll be riding nose high, but that can be corrected with airbags or an add-a-leaf.

Evil. Big. Oil.
I leveled my '05 and it lost a smidge in the MPG dept. It's been a few years but something like an 1/4 mpg I calculated over a couple tanks. Probably not noticeable unless you are actually calculating it.
Maybe I just drove into the wind more that month, but they put air dams on them for a reason.

Worse mileage, more wear on suspension components, and most significantly you will be nose-up with a load or towing.
I think the more difficult question is what are the positives of leveling?

It sets you apart from the other couple million f150s on the road? I've clocked 35k miles with a leveling kit installed and haven't experienced any premature front end component failure. yet.
