Ford OEM replacement parts, for the most part, are guaranteed for 2 years. As long as it is a legit OEM part and not a knockoff, the lead frame will be covered for 2 years, unlimited miles.

I googled the part and there were many refurbished ones but I found an OEM part on Amazon. It's says new. I contacted the dealership and told them it will be delivered soon and they said they will warranty the part as long as it is an OEM part but they need to see the box. And they will guarantee their workmanship. When I went to the dealership they said the guy that had been waiting for 8 months finally got his part this week. Mine should be here in a few days fingers crossed.

2011 F150 has been sitting at a dealership for seven weeks. They said "maybe Feb or March" they can get the LEED frame part in.

Stopped at a different dealer just to check situation and fellow was nice enough to look into it.

He said "18,000" on national backorder and no estimated ship date available.

He also said people have been buying the part with the valve body for more $ and now those are b/o.

The second part of the bad news is mine is an 2011 and 144K miles so was told not covered under "Oasis" program (10 years or 150K whichever...).

Told: "at least $1k"

PCM had been re programed previously and then the trans failed Nov 22.

Anyone have any additional info on this?

Default My order is now delayed

My part was supposed to arrive no later than today and now I get a email saying it is delayed and no date available. I have a 2013 F-150 and right now the price is $1,700 to fix it at the dealership. I have been waiting 5 weeks for the part so far and have been renting a vehicle and can no longer afford to do that so no idea what I'm going to do now.

^ Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. Tough situation. FMC needs to step up and help the owners better. Minimize the damage being caused to their customers and their brand.

I have a 17 year old KIA to drive back and forth to work 20 miles but cant go to far in it.

My wife was echoing your exact situation few weeks ago "how can people afford to rent for that long if no other options".

Default Exactly !

Thank you. Unfortunately Ford doesn't care. As far as I know the recall was for 2011 and 2012 f150s and mine is a 13 and I now have 200,000 mi on it which would not qualify for the free part anyway. I am grateful to say though that this is the first major thing that has ever happened to my truck. I refuse to buy a refurbished part so I will have to wait for a new part. Each week that I rent a vehicle I'm basically working to pay for that rental. I guess I would be better off sitting home not working but I like my job. I hope Ford gets their act together soon and gets these necessary parts out !! I've always been faithful to Ford but I'm reconsidering going to Toyota When it's time for another new vehicle. Glad your wife got her situation taken care of and I wish I had a backup vehicle but I don't.

Mine is an Aug 2012 build. Do I understand this isn't a recall, but an "if it breaks in 10 yrs or 150k miles we will rectify it"?

Default Hmmm

I don't have an extended warranty on mine. No recalls came up on mine and Ford said I have to pay for it myself. I will have to investigate this further. I'm praying the delay on my part is not too much longer. With tons of people needing this part you would think Ford would be doing everything in their power to make them available. Wait.... I'm kidding myself 🤣
