I'm gonna more testing first try and pull in the shop today check the lines see if the cv shafts spin and lock when there suppose too see if there's any cracks or if I screwed up the actuators by over tightening the axle nuts didn't drive that far though I did retorque them the right way when I got back to work the next day pretty sure they were well over 100 ft lbs at first so who knows what I did more investigating

I changed my driver side actuator the other day and still hearing the noise. I only hear it on the highway about 60-65mph and when I let off the gas it stops. It comes and goes, it's never consistent.

ok, confused, you talking about the 13mm nut that holds the cv shaft / half shaft on at outside of the knuckle, under that dust cap? that's like 25 ftlbs

if that's the one you tightened over 100 ftlbs yeah you might've toasted the IWE's

that's what I'm thinking too didn't relize the torque at the time and I listened to the wrong people at work instead of pulling up the specs didn't drive on it long but could've been long enough idk yet we shall see

hard to say what might've happened pulling them into the iwe that hard. the video on youtube in my thread also mentioned that if water gets into the iwe's you can have a 'partial vacuum' problem which might explain your symptoms if you've had a lot of rain or done any driving in high water

lately it's rained a lot but I did the level I wanna say over a month ago and it's been happening since than that I've noticed anyway but I know the axles are the one ones I didn't tighten down both air that was by hand with is why I was ball parking the first torque but still wondering if I still over tightened it enough to crush the actuator threads
