found this attached to my exhaust ...the little green thing ...what is it and what does it do...

 

It's a vibration dampener

 

Its the housing for your exhaust bearings.

are you sure thats not the blinker fluid reservoir?

I upgraded mine to an aftermarket blue with CAI bearings. Added 10 HP and 3 MPGs.

 

Oh I always thought those were flux capacitor balancing weights.

 

its supposed to reduce exhaust drone from exhaust by absorbing the vibratory tones being passed back toward the engine. My guess is that it didn't work well, because I don't have one on my late build 2010 and they now use a resonator before the muffler.
