Default What to do about rust below rear seats?

Hello,

I recently resealed my rear window because it was leaking pretty bad and noticed a lot of rust on various components underneath the seats. Should I leave it alone?

You must have a lot of humidity.

I think sometime when I was bored I'd take them out, spray them with some PB Blaster, wipe them off and they would look nicer for a while anyway.

I wouldn’t worry too much about those particular parts. They are unfinished metal and just the humidity in the air will cause that surface rust.
How bad was your leak and for how long was it leaking? You may want to take a look at the floorboards in that area. Better to catch rust early before it starts eating things away.

Pretty bad. The leak was in the rear window drivers side. I had the leak for almost a full month that I know of, but I realize now when I bought it the headliners were stained at the time probably from this leak. I bought it back in March but only noticed the leak a month ago due to the drivers side floor mat being soaked.

Maybe throw some Corroseal on naked parts like that, but it's not really a big deal. They won't rust bad enough to be a problem before the end of the truck's life. Cab corners rusting from inside out because of that leak would be more of a worry to me. Those will rust out bad.
