Not really sure what you are agreeing with as I never said anything like this, LOL But again, if you are happy, I am happy.

I was agreeing that the EB might be a higher risk propostion (but for a slightly different way to look at it)....but if you are happy, I am happy....

I think it really depends on the truck. I had a 2011 tuxedo black fx4 5.0 with 80000km on it never any major problems, everything that needed to be fixed was the 1st time I brought it in. I am a firm believer in regular maintenance, follow the schedule to a T. I just traded my 2011 off for a 2014 sterling grey fx4 5.0 3 weeks ago, has been at the dealer 4 times since I've had it.

As for the engine discussion 5.0 vs EB. I had an ecobooster for the last few days as demo while my truck was being worked on. It was a blast to drive tons of get up and go no lag whatsoever unlike the 5.0 which lacks throttle response thought maybe I should keep this instead of my truck, but once I got my truck back and put my foot into and the heard the Detroit symphony orchestra delivering another great performance I thought I am glad I went with the 5.0. Personally I didn't want the worry over forced induction engine had a really bad experience with my BMW 335xi (blown injectors) before I got into my 2011, a nightmare to look after was tired of having to go for the cool down drive every time I drove it hard before I could turn it off. There is going to be good and bad for both motors but it doesn't mean one is better then the other. Just my two cents.

Right now, a 14 is the best deal going.

If you want to use that logic then GM and Ram have better engines with less parts

I was not asserting that any engine is the best because it has the fewest moving parts. I was only questioning others who made their engine choice based on that erroneous assumption about the 5.0 vs the EB.

My other vehicle is a twin turbo 335i. Intoxicating to drive, but has been totally unreliable. I understand your comments... I have been beta testing for BMW since I bought it.

Love your comment about the 5.0 sound and totally agree with you that there is no symphony for my ears like my F150's 5.0!!
