If it was gear oil it'd be thick, also as in my opinion it's some of the worst smelling stuff on earth

Believe me you'll know if it's gear oil. It has a very strong sulphur smell. It's a smell you will never ever forget. It will stink up your entire garage. I once spilled a container of it in my garage and it smelled awful for months

What year is Op's truck? Didnt early '09-'10 ,F-150 6R80's have a harness or something that would come lose and cause fluid to leak out when parked on a hill?

Not to prolong things but......I have not found out where it came from. I looked again. No evidence if seepage or drip from under there anywhere. To settle one thing.... I do know the difference between ****, water and oil ;-) And gear oil? Yep, stinks to high heaven. I do know this. That oil was NOT there before I parked my truck there and it WAS there when I moved it. It is definitely oil of some kind. Did not smell strong (prob not gear oil), and it was not real gooey, sorta more like 30 weight.

I'll be keeping a check on everything. Got me puzzled right now. Thanks for all the ideas, comments and jokes!

Good point. It's the transmission bulkhead connector. Visible looking from the right rear of the truck, looking forward. The connector is on thr passenger side of the transmission.

Still think it's OP's neighbor cat taking a ****...
