Default Wet inside door

Anyone having problems with water on the inside of your doors?

I went to replace/upgrade speakers and found water inside my drivers side door. I havent checked the passenger side yet. I mounted my crossovers inside the door cavity and it was dripping wet. There was water on the metal everywhere. I appear to have a tight seal at the window, where else could it be leaking from? We had a pretty hard rain about 2 days before. Surely this amount of water isn't from condensation.

Will my x-over be ok if it air dries?

Xover will be fine. Just let it dry out. Your main longterm concern will be corrosion. They're really designed to be stored inside the vehicle compartment, unless they're for marine speakers.

Once they're dry, you may want to wrap the whole thing in plastic and tape the ends to try and keep water and condensation out. If you have any of those little silicon bags, like the ones they put inside shoes boxes, put it next to the unit when you seal it up. They will help absorb any condensation that may penetrate.

Getting water inside the doors is sort of normal on older vehicles with bad seals. But I don't think an '09 or '10 should have that much water in the door. You may want to take it to the dealer if it's still under warranty and talk to them about it.
Like kmac said, if you have a drain hole, make sure it's clear. Vacuum out the inside of the bottom of the door if you can.
If you don't have one, or can't find it, you could always drill a small hole in the bottom of the door cavity and spray some undercoating or aerosol bedliner on both sides of the hole. I've done this trick on cars with bad seals where water would pool in the spare tire well.
Drill a 3/16"-1/4" hole, sand down paint and tape off around hole, spray bedliner within taped area. Problem solved and no future rust.

I remember a couple of people mentioning on one of the threads here that water in the doors is also a sign of a leaky third brake light. But that was at the rear doors and by the door handles on the inside. If your truck's parked front facing a lower elevation than the back, I can see water getting to the front doors too.
