Doesn't that seem very generous... Or am I just off in their value??
If his insurance company held both his and the semi's insurance policies, they probably just made him an offer they thought would close the books quickly.

If the semi was covered by a different insurer, his company probably shot high on the value, as they knew they'd be recovering it from the semi's insurer.

I dug up the pictures. So the tractor trailer hit him at 40mph and sent him into a minivan then the guardrail.
Not lessening it any, I thought the front was crushed more. Anyways they totaled it for that unbelievable amount.

Glad it worked out, he's a hell of good guy.
Hope you get the same good return OP.

We are still fighting Geico and we were not at fault! Horrible insurance company!

As was said in the thread about your accident, you should have let your insurance company handle the claim. You would have never had any interaction with Geico.

Sorry to hear about your crash BlueSpark and glad to hear there were no major injuries. Now to the good stuff, did you have a stripper pole in the tailgate? If not, can you get your hands on the access cover? If so, what would you take for it? I call dibs!!!!

Dunno--it sounds like it might've been worth the $500 to just let the insurance companies duke it out (hindsight being 20/20, and all). And it's not like you'd be out the $500 forever; you'd get it back when they finally paid off.

I hope they finally step up and do right by you.
