weird engine noise
i have recently noticed that there is an annoying noise coming from my engine. i popped the hood and it sounded like metal on metal quickly vibrating. but the more i investigated, it now seems like its one of my pulleys, maybe the a/c. has anyone else had this problem?

yea thats what i thought too...i also hear this creaking noise on my back passenger door when ever i make a turn or hit a bump. lol just my luck with these problems.

Ive heard weird noise coming from my engine as well. Im told the noise is due to the variable valve timing. they said is was normal. I heard my friends 5.0 and it sounds the same

The 5.0 is a noisy engine with the hood open. Mine, and the Wifey's are the same. A lot of injector ticking going on all the time.
Keep in mind this is a three year old post. The OP's truck would have the 5.4L engine.
