Thumbs down WeatherTech Window Deflectors

WARNING! DO NOT BUY THE WEATHERTECH WINDOW DEFLECTORS for 2010 F150.

They do not fit. period.

My lovely wife got me this for my birthday and they are a piece of junk.

A clip is to be installed along the weather stripping at the bottom of your window. This is supposed to create the pressure on the deflector so it remains in place.

2 MAJOR PROBLEMS!

1) the clip, bends, distorts the weather stripping

2) the deflector is too long, or the clip is too small therefore making the front piece of the deflector stick out and would potentially let all rain/weather inside your truck. . . OR . . . if could tear off while your driving down the highway.

There are other Posts in refrence to this problem. Some guys even went as far as cutting the deflector down with a dremel.

I'll be sending mine back in for a refund... NOT HAPPY!

Others are recomending AVS in channel... anyone have a review??

Default I agree with the OP

I ordered a set for my 2010 SC and hated them! Sent them back ASAP for a exchange and got the AVS. Love the AVS looks and works way better! You will be glad you got the AVS!! I sure am.

I just ordered a set of EGR Slim Line In Channel Vent Visors and will be installing them when they come in. I've read nothing but good things about them. It was between the AVS and the EGR, but I decided on the EGR. I've also read about and have seen first hand the Weathertech Vent Visor issues.

Same issue you have with them, but they do fit, you just have to force it in, the clips pull the weather strip way down. It looks like its not right but thats how they designed it.

Personaly I dont like the way they do that, but an option that was mentioned is to cut the front lower section off woth a dremmel and use double tape to stick in the grooves. Seems to work fine and if cut even dont even notice
