Haven't tried a set yet, so thanks for the positive report.

I put a set of the Phillips extreme bulbs on my truck right after I bought it. They've been going strong for a year and a half. I highly recommend them. Much brighter bulbs than stock.

Me too, they seem pretty good so far.

I am now interested in the Sylvania Silverstar Ultras now that they are out for us.

Can someone identify what bulbs are currently stock for the 2011 F-150? It would be nice to know so we could compare them to the aftermarket bulbs.
I too am trying to decide between the SS Ultras and the Philips Xtreme. Output is what is important to me - not how cool they look.

I am getting these today and a rigid light bar later.

I almost hit a few people in parking lots. I cannot see to the sides with stock bulbs.

What I'd really like is a way of increasing the light without adding any extra lights.

Failing that, I like a chrome bi-xenon HID that is already set up with everything I need to plug it in. Anybody have a link?

Incase anybody else wanted to know, the stock headlights on my truck were the basic standard Sylvania as shown below.
For some reason I felt like I wanted to upgrade and was trying to decide between SS Ultras and Philips Xtreme Power. I got the Philips, put them in today and will keep the originals as spares. Pic:

I had problems with DDM and their kit. They sent me the wrong kit first, then an incompatible kit, then a bad part that caused the lights to just shut off occasionally (while driving at night). I finally convinced them (Brian) it wasn't worth my time to keep swapping the parts out and after a little haggling they let me send them back for a refund.

Ironically, my brother also got them for his truck at the same time and also got the wrong kit, then a bad part. He got his money back for the headlights but not the fog lights.

In the end, I'd rather just find a set of pre-installed HID retrofits. I won't buy from DDM again though.

A ton of people have had issues with DDM. Especially around the holidays. I'd go VVME or Ebay for the cheaper kits or Retro Solutions for the high quality ones with great warranty.
