I learned about Collinite #845 here, I gave it a try, I am extremely satisfied with the ease of use and long-lasting results.

Another satisfied Collinite user here. Clay bars are old school, upgrade to the nano skin autoscrub! I just bought one along with a cheap DA polisher, very happy with the results!

I just use a random orbital with MF bonnets to remove. No special brand. I also have some MF towels, but they aren't a special brand. Hit them for free when I bought Collinite online and hit one with my Nanoskin Autoscrub kit.

nu finish is the best in my opinion especially if you don't wax often but do wash often as I do ( live on dusty road ). The paste in the tub is better but does require more work. As stated in other posts use of a clay bar is paramount.

I've always used the mothers 3 stage system. It's worked amazing for all my vehicles. Next time I go to wax my truck I'm going to clay bar it again and hit it with chemical guys new "white wax". Designed to get the most out of white paint and then I'll seal it up with a good sealant. It's not a cheap system, but the truck wasn't cheap either, so I like to keep the best protection with the best shine I can get!!!

Have always used clay, but kind of interested in the nanoskin angle. Can anyone narrow down which one to pick up? Thanks.

Depends on your budget and how much work you want to do.

I picked up an el cheapo Harbor Freight dual action polisher for about $50. Then I bought the 6" medium pad that came with a MF towel and spray lube for like $40.

Totally worth it for me. The pad is reusable many times over and I use the DA to apply polish and wax as well.
