Default water pump

2014 f150 5.0 xl supercab. 85,000 miles. looks like the water pump is leaking and needs replacement. searching for the part i see a 3 bolt and a 4 bolt flange. is this referring to the way the pump mounts to the engine or the bolts that hold the pulley on? only means of transportation so i need to have the right pump before i tear it apart.

also should i replace the t fitting while im in there? what are the part # for the orings inside the t fitting if i can just replace those?

The t connector comes with o rings. But you really shouldn't need to replace that unless it is damaged. Only one size of o ring used in there is sold separately by Ford. So, depending on what exactly you do, the course of action to get parts may be different. If you just replace the rings, I would source them from elsewhere.https://www.f150forum.com/f70/2011-5...4/#post5129671

Use the proper Ford coolant, 50/50 mix. If you drain as much as possible into a clean container, you can just put it back when finished, reducing how much extra you'll need. I'm not sure how much you'll lose doing the pump. I'd have at least a couple mixed gallons ready. I lost somewhere below 1 gallon taking off the T connector, probably not much more for the pump.

Completely replacing coolant is tougher, it holds many quarts throughout the system that won't simply drain out. You need many gallons of distilled water to run through to flush it out, probably over a couple hours of fill/drive/empty/repeat if you are serious. I think dealers either have some sort of vacuuming system or just lie about a "flush" when they do it.

My manual says 17 quart total capacity.
