Default VIN Decoders

Are they trust worthy?

Ran my VIN through the decoder in the "tools" section above. It says I have a 26 "or" 36 gallon tank, I know its a 36 for sure as I can't put 30 gallons of fuel into a 26 gallon tank.

Here is where it gets really weird. Its lists the body type as short bed (5.5 foot) and 144" wheelbase which I think the standard wheelbase correct? My truck is certainly NOT a 5.5 box. Its the 6.5 box and its the longer wheelbase version. (156"?)

While it doesn't really concern me, it seems odd. I was hoping the decoder would be able to give me a list of options it has and perhaps a build date because I'm a dork like that.

Is there somewhere on the truck I can find build date and maybe the rear end ratio? Not that it really matters but, like I said, I'm a dork.

For the FX4, what the numbers mean. Box, wheel base, gas tank size. Whatever information it provides.

Fx4 is a package... Build date is aug 17 2014,3.55 gears... I have no info on tank size, wheel base is on the sticker in the door. I have a super can, it's 145.. Not sure on a crew cab... You have 157 in wheel base...
