All that video proved was that those techs weren't very informed. At least 2 said towing was the reason they picked the 5.0. EB tows more and IMO is much easier to tow with as you don't need to rev the **** out of it for it to develop torque. 5.0 is down 83 Lb-Ft of torque.

I think some of those guys are oil changers, not techs.

No - cam phaser issues we're fixed by 2006, only an issues on the 2004 & 2005.

My 2010 could have passed for a diesel.....part of the reason we ditched it.

i believe that's incorrect, although Ford did update some of the parts at some point in an attempt to address the problem. I've seen the problem on 2009 and 2010 model 5.4's firsthand. Which sucks because if you had a 5.4 that didn't develop the issue, they were pretty bulletproof.

Seems the same can be said for the first gen eco. Timing problems seems to be its weakest link, other than the condensation deal.

I haven't heard of that particular issue (VCT issues) on the 5.0. But I kind of wonder if some of the engine ticking complaints are related..
