Default Vehicle health report

So I did a vehicle health report through sync and when I got the report it said I needed to take my truck in for service.

It said "Engine, Transmission, and Emissions" Service required.

The icons below may be illuminated in your dash or console or may appear in your message center. The vehicle diagnostics indicate a parameter that is out of normal range or that a component has failed. Systems within your vehicle need prompt service and/or inspection.

Malfunction Indicator Lamp - Regulatory

I dont have a CEL on and my truck was just at the dealership for a sync update. They checked the ecm and system for updates and said all was up to date. Should I take it back in?

Just out of curiosity, did you have the truck running when you did the report?

I think your truck needs to be running with transmission in park. Also don't have the E-brake on or it will show a brake issue on the health report. Might want to give it another try before taking it in.

Ahh. Got ya.

So you think it picked up the CEL because that was probably illuminated in the dash while the report was running.

I'm pretty sure all the sensors are read during the health report diagnosis and the system needs to be running for proper reading. Anything that triggers a warning light will show up on the report.

Yep ya gotta have the vehicle running as stated above. Mine won't even run a health report unless the vehicle has been running for at least a min.

Parking brake off as stated above.

The system allows you to check your vehicle’s overall health in the form
of a diagnostic report card. The vehicle health report contains valuable
information such as:
• Vehicle Diagnostic Information
• Scheduled maintenance
• Open Recalls and Field Service Actions
• Unserviced items from vehicle inspections by your authorized dealer.
You can run a report (after the vehicle has been running a minimum of
60 seconds) by pressing the voice button and saying “Vehicle health
report”, or pressing the phone button.

I have done a report as well and it said that I had a break problem and it needed to be inspected.
Reason it came up was because I had the parking brake set....
