USB switches to FM2

USB switches to FM2
I have a 2012 XLT and I did the USB2 mod and have a hard drive hooked up in the glovebox. If I'm listening to USB2 when I shut off the truck, the next time I start the truck, it's always on FM2 and I have to scroll to the USB using the "MEDIA" button. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know if there is a way to make it come back to USB2 when I start back up?

Mine does this from time to time, but not all the time. But instead of scrolling through the media button, just push the snyc cammand button on your steering wheel and say usb2, and it will connect.

But it should know exactly where it was before being turned off. It know where in a song it left off, once I get back to it. I'm wondering if there is a SYNC upgrade I'm missing. Just bought my truck a few weeks ago and it was built in January.

Mine does exactly the same thing. I'm afraid I don't have any solutions, though. I also experience problems with Bluetooth connectivity. It's just random, and probably going to fight me until the day I buy another truck.

My 2010 does this on occasion as well (I believe the sync systems are slightly different between 2010 and 2011/2012).
Once you get used to how sync works, with the radio off, hit the voice button on your steering wheel. Sync will respond with something like "Sync, please say a command."
Say "interaction mode advanced."
You'll get shorter prompts and streamlined control.
