Default Upper left drivers side firewall....what is it?

Black plastic piece with on drivers side firewall above the power steering booster,on firewall directly behind brake reservoir.

Little incident today with work lamp in garage.
Tipped over and I didn't notice till I smelled melting plastic.
Seems there is a very tiny hole now in this black piece.
Under vacuum cause it's sucks air.
Didnt notice it till I went for a rip after changing plugs....and it seemed like front hubs were partially engaged.....grinding.
At least that's what I thought it was.
Opened hood and could hear the sucking from the hole.
Had duct tape with me and taped it up,everything is fine.
I have no idea what this is....I'm planning on siliconing the tiny hole.
Anybody know what the heck this is?
Sorry no pic...

Id find out at the dealership how hard and how much it cost to replace properly, before attemping a DIY job! It was a accident, and I wouldn't want to cause any major issues by DIY unless done properly!

Im not sure what its for, maybe someone else can chime in, but I wouldnt put silicone in it as Id fear it'd block off the tube completely or make it worse! but thats just me!

Solenoid for front hubs. Had one on an older F150 fail. I assume its the same design on the 09-13. Replacement was about $30 on eBay if I remember right.

Its just a big black piece of plastic, has a couple of small tubes running out of it.
Doesn't look like a solenoid....
Tho I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the vacuum system for the hubs....

While I can't really find any reference for this piece on the newer F150s I have found some info on older F150s.
I was going to call it a vacuum tank before and apparently it is really is....a vacuum reservoir....I think
