Absolutely *YES*. Lemme tell you why. If you have the coilovers set to level your truck, the OEM UCAs will clank on your springs when the suspension extends to the max. And you don't have to do much to get them to do this. Mine did it going over speed bumps a little faster than a crawl.

The second reason you should do them, is that if you ever want to do them in the future, you'll have to yank out the coilovers (again) to install them - a needless PITA.

I went with ICONs. Very happy with them (I was told to avoid ProComps, they're cheap copies of ICONs) Best price/deal was at F150Lifts.com. Talk to Alex, he's full of "it" (knowledge about what you need)

>edit< I just re-read your post and saw you got BOSS coilovers. You'll love 'em. But do those UCAs at the same time!

My Bilsteins are set at 2.25 which levels my truck and my arms don't hit coils. Are you sure it's not just topping out the suspension when going over speed bumps fast?

I get going higher than 2.5" as the angles will allow it to possibly hit but there are many here that run levels with stock arms with no issues.

Now if you have the coin I'd probably do it to avoid the hassle as you said and get it done in one session.

Count yourself fortunate. After putting on the BOSS coilovers I would go over speed bumps a little faster than normal, and there was a notable "clank". Alex was scratching his head about it too. I got under the truck and jacked up the frame, and when the tire was starting to lift off the ground the UCA was making contact with the spring. The only way around this was to go with new UCAs, which, when installed, did indeed solve the problem. *I never got the clank with my Bilsteins either, come to think of it. But I am 110% glad I swapped them out for the BOSS coilovers. I would never go back to Bilsteins.

I was also told that the OEM UCAs are really (really) weak if you ever do any real off roading -and I do- so the answer was obvious (for me -YMMV)

That would be irritating, glad you got it sorted.

Guess it's a different clank than topping out!

Mine is a street queen with mild off-road so not too worried about it but I'll be all over F150lifts.com when I get a chance! Lol

I'd like to get some additional feedback on those RL UCAs. I have a '15 F150 that has a 7" RL lift on. When I review ebay, Stage3, AutoAnything, American truck, the RL site.....I cant get an affirmative answer on if the part 44-2000 fit the 2015 model. Some sites say yes, some say no.
I'd also like to hear some long-term thoughts on those UCAs now that you've had them for a few years.
