Default Upgrade Turn Signals

Thinking about putting some leftover weatherproof amber led's in this spot as aux. turn signals..did I catch the lighting bug or is this a genuine good idea*?

I've actually purchased a couple amber LEDs from Grote for this exact purpose. My chosen placement would be here:

I don't think I'd have the cajones to drill into my actual truck body..I did buy some 2" led marker lights to put in my wheel well just to "see" what they'd look like but I didn't really like them when I placed them as mock ups.

That particular panel between the headlights and bumper is plastic. Should be an easy install, just as long as you measure twice and drill once.

I wouldn't, but that's me. I don't think you're really adding that much "safety" or visibility to the truck and you run the risk of rattling over bumps against the bumper and/or plastic filler piece, whistling at speed, and almost certainly lower resale value. JMO, not trying to be rude.
