Default Map light broken socket tab...HELP!

I was trying to change my map lights to LED when I think I broke the tab in the socket. The light now doesn't stay into the hole.
Does anyone have any help or suggestion on how to fix? I would save me the trouble of bring it to the dealership.

It may not be broken. Had a similar issue when swapping mine and used a small flathead screwdriver and could bend the prong back. Haven't had an issue since installing.

It looks like a plastic piece.... Are you sure it's metal that I can bend?

Can you snap a picture of it? And are you referring to a part that holds the actual light in, or a part that holds the plastic clear cover on?

The lights are usually held by thin metal tabs that I have bent to fit LEDs. The clear cover used to diffuse the light on the other hand, I have worried about breaking.

No problem. I thought I broke it as well and took a second and looked again and bent it back. Been 4 months or so since I switched it and haven't had any issues or flickering.
