Default upgrade headers?

ok ive posted a topic asking about headers and how people like them, but in all honesty does it really make difference to even change them? or is it best to just upgrade your exhaust and call it a day?

Ya they'll make a difference, but I wouldn't just put in new headers. I'd do the exhaust, intake, and tuner while ur at it.

Put long tubes on the corvette. Don't go to big on them. Put 1 7/8" primaries on it and it killed the bottom end. Above 3000rpm and it was a monster. Below that it dropped 20-30tq. Can't remember exactly. Been several years. It was a noticeable increase on the top end. About 25hp and the same torque. If I did it again id do 1 5/8" primaries. Trade a little on the top but gain it on the bottom. I'd say the 5.0 would be great with a set of 1 5/8". Go cruise some mustang forums. Those guys will help ya out and set ya straight.

Last I checked there were only a couple manufacturers (unless you're going full custom).

Off the top of my head.
Stainless Works
American Racing Headers

Check out the Dyno charts on 5star's site. Many different combos on there! Headers, Boss Intake kit, and a tune are good for 50+ rwhp 35+ tq

$1000 for 50rwhp is a bargain these days. Id be happy to pay that. Too bad those 3 upgrades will cost u atleast 2gs before u get any labor involved.
