Unsightly Rust...already?
I have a two month old 2013 F150 with ecoboost. Right by the grille opening for the intercooler there is already quite a bit of corrosion. Is this normal or did they fail to coat all of the metal? Does anybody else's truck look like this?
I completely understand that its common for the under-body and structural parts to get corroded, but this is annoying because you can actually see it when you walk by the front of the truck. I don't know whether the dealer would fix it, or if I just have to take it apart and paint it myself and add a grill over the opening.

Mine doesn't have the black paint all the way back either, but my unpainted part still doesn't look as bad as yours. I'd sand it and hit it with some paint too if mine looked like that.

These trucks are made as Cheaply as possible! Im not surprised a ton when I see this! I mean cmon, Ford is putting duct tape over hole in the body panels on the underside of the truck, as Im sure the other manufacturers do as well! Why else would we be reading about so many problems with them if they were made with the highest standards! Sorry, just my .02 cents...
