Here are my Lightforce Striker 170's. These lights are a really nice bit of kit. They are made of polycarbonate so they are virtually unbreakable. There are u-tube videos of them being shot at with a shotgun with no damage. The best part of the lights is the ability to install different lens covers. In the picture below they are set up for long range spots. I currently run the combination lens covers which is a compromise of fogs and spots. I also wired them to come on only with my high-beams.
Here you can see the field of vision with just low-beams and foglights. You can see the light the the foglights cast in the very lower left. Not much illumination on either side of the road.
Here is the field of view with high-beam only. You can just see the start of the hill and some trees on the side of the road. Overall pathetic, quite frankly.
Here is what I see with the high-beams and the strikers on. The sign in the distance is between 1/2 and 3/4 of mile down the road. Great ilumination on the sides of the road and a good amount up the roadway. Remember this is with the combination lens on the light housings.
