Default Ugh. Shock blown

A few months ago I bought some Rancho S9000XL shocks from a guy online who was selling his truck. They didn't have very many miles on them and they were in perfect condition when I installed then. I went over a bad bump where they are doing construction the other day. The truck started riding rough. Looked at the passenger shock, and it's got fluid all over it. I can't believe it's blown. Guess it's OEM shocks and leveling kit back in for me. Ugh. Rant over. lol It would be under warranty if I had the receipt, which I don't. lol

Generally speaking, shocks do not usually fail from hitting a large bump. I would check to make sure that the shocks were the correct length and that you were not reaching the limits of travel on the shock.

Not to mention why even bother going back to OEM. The oem shocks on these trucks are about as cheap as cheap can be. Any brand monotube would be an upgrade.
