Default Two systems needing assist on

So with my 2014 Ford XLT Super Cab with the 4.2" screen, I have had an aftermarket radio placed into my truck. The new bezel is of new design allowing for the 4.2 screen to be in use. Now the screen is having intermediate communications with I believe is the BCM. Sometimes I have black screen, a black screen with the wrong date and time, the colorful Ford logo stays on the screen, or any other combination. I am unable to set the time and date either. Any ideas of what may be the issue?

Second issue, air conditioning problem, so when placing the system on MAX, the air conditioning shuts off and does not come back on. I will have to restart the truck reset to a lower fan speed so the air conditioner will stay on and blow air. Any suggestions?

What aftermarket radio did you use? And do you still have the Sync module (APIM)? That's where the time comes from on the OEM radio screen.

As for the a/c issue, does it turn off anytime the fan is in high speed, or only when you set it on "Max A/C"?

A Pioneer AVIC-7210NEX....Replaced the OEM bezel with a Metra bezel which allowed for the old screen to be retained. Everything has been retained which was original except for the OEM radio/CD.

Only when set to Max A/C

Does it happen if you manually set it to recirculate?

How do you have a 4" and 7" screen in the same place? The radio/CD is the APIM mentioned above.

The new Metra bezel is a redesign for the AC controls. So where the AC controls used to be, the radio is in it's place.

So how do you control the A/C?

If you removed the APIM (i.e. factory radio/CD), then you don't have anything to communicate to the factory 4.x" screen. How is it wired up?

So here is what was all placed in the install (All Metra):
  1. AX-ADBOX2 Axxess Interface Control Box without Digital Fade
  2. AX-ADFD02 2011-UP Ford Axxess ADBOX Harness
  3. 40-EU10 – Antenna Adapter
  4. 99-5830 B
  5. ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Control Interface

All these parts were required to be used for the install

So is the interface control box supposed to mimic the Sync module? If so, I'd guess it's isn't functioning properly.

Also, did you move the ac controls? If not, how are you controlling the ac?

Yep, that module could be bad, or maybe a wiring problem. Intermittent connection of the radio and max ac is shorting out the system, or something. If you had this done by someone recently, I'd say they need to fix it.
