Default truck clicks in reverse

I'm at my wits end .... hope someone has some suggestions:

- truck has a click-click-click noise when reversing and the wheels turned all the way to PASSENGER side. Does not do it when turned driver side. does not do it when turned and driving FORWARD.
- clicking gets faster if i back up faster
- clicking only lasts a few clicks when starting to reverse then quit afterwards

- This happens in both 2wd and 4wd
- No other noises/vibrations/leaks or anything like that when driving forwards.
- This seems to happen in the mornings only, when the truck is cold and outside temp is lower.

I figured one of the IWEs was partially engaging, causing the click - but that wasn't it as it happens in 4wd when the IWEs are fully engaged.
I figured maybe the CV axles were the problem, but I marked the axleshafts with paint and confirmed that i can drive and turn all day long and those shafts do not move in 2wd (meaning IWE is operating properly)

So i don't know what else to do. Hoping someone more experienced here has some ideas. Thank you!

2011 F150 FX4
5.0 V8
Super Crew Cab
Everything on the driveline is stock (no lift or level kit)
All Vacuum lines for IWEs recently replaced and IWEs tested with vacuum gauge. Alignment recently done. Truck is otherwise mechanically 100% as far as i can tell.
