Looks like Ford is working on the development of apps and allowing 3rd parties to develop apps for mobile devices to sync with sync lol

Only a matter of time before it crosses over in to a database of apps available to download and put on our F150's

Good find.

I hope its not like Sync when it was first released. My '09 wasn't upgradable and didn't have many of the features that my new truck has.

...sorry about bringing this thread back from the dead but ...

Those are Sync apps. I don't think those are related to the Truck Apps. Those Sync apps are like Pandora and whatever else you can pair with on your smartphone.

Maybe some more apps like the 2013 Mustang "Track Apps"

I was hoping for a voltage reading app... I would think that with all the tech stuff that would be a good gauge.

Default "Off Road" now showing in Truck Apps - on it's own, please help

Hello - need help please

re: 2011 Ford F-150 XLT
Yesterday the "Off Road" turned on all by itself.
  • I noticed in the TRUCK APPS that a blue squiggly line was showing on my rear differential and the term "Off Road" was now showing up.
  • Also, just below the differential - frame display was "More Info". When I clicked on that, 3 things showed up "4x4", "EDC" or something like that, and I think "Traction Control".. I wasn't sure what was applicable to "Off Road" (did some google searches and basically this forum popped up)
Nothing had changed to make this happen, I didn't change to 4x4 or change Traction Control - nothing.
a) if I leave it as is because I can't figure out how to switch from "Off Road", will anything be damaged?
b) how can I disengage the "Off Road"
