Default trouble with steering wheel buttons

Hello!!!

I've been having some issues with the volume control buttons on my steering wheel of my 2011 F-150. Sometimes but not all the time if I'm pushing the volume buttons it will switch the radio station I'm listening to. Would this be just an issue with the switches themselves? I'm hoping so because that would be an easy $20 fix. I know nothing about this but from what I've seen, if it was the clockspring they would just not work period? Any help would be appreciated! This has been going on for a while and I finally have some time to deal with it.

Thanks!

Most likely it is your switches. Order a new set from Tasca and call it a day. Simple, quick, easy fix.

I have the same problem, thought I was fat fingering it but not so. volume and and the one below work correctly less than half the time. change stations on radio may go forward or backward when pushing on right side. mine has done this practically new. I just mainly use the radio *****, not my daily driver so I will probably just deal with but will be following.

Replace them, 20 minute job. I have a 2014 and have had to replace both already.

I ordered the volume buttons but I'm also noticing now that the airbag light is on so I think I might need to do the clockspring as well. I think that's a pain haha

You can go to an auto parts store and ask them to pull the codes.

Good to know. My Volume and Next Track buttons get confused from time to time. Not enough for me to do this repair now though.

Good to know in the future though.

Thanks.
