Tremendous temptation while getting 30K service at dealer this a.m.

life is too short pull the pin get the truck. I was in the same boat as you. was going to wait until 2012. Had the expedition in for service and saw a Red Candy FX screw. The model run at that color was done for the year. so I made some calls and drove off in that truck that day.

OP, I would get that 11. If it is exactly the truck you want, then snap it up. If you were planning on waiting a year or two, then I would say wait. But 3 or 4 months..... I am willing to bet that those 3 to 4 months would cost you 3000 to 4000 more to get that 2012 than a 2011. If money is no object, then wait a few months. But is going from Nav to My Ford Touch worth that much money?

Guy, that truck is hot. Buy it.
I'm sorry to all the tuxedo drivers, but to be honest -I am happy to see it go. Straight up black will be so much easier to match for body work in the future and looks so slick when clean.

For the OP, I would say...
WAIT.
I don't believe there are any vehicles out there that truly begs to you that you can't live without it and have to buy it immediately, especially a heavily mass-produced vehicle like an F-150.
As it seems you already have a 2009 F-150 XLT, you already have a good truck and the difference that you are trading up for are really just optional equipment with no other significant changes (ah, but the powertrains... that's a different story).
With 2012 models just around the corner, I would suggest you wait until then so you would also be able to lay claim to having the absolute newest F-150 you can get. And you can special order it if the dealer can't find any that matches your specifications on any lot nearby.
Since you are not getting any other special discounts at the moment (such as year-end model closeouts), I don't think the price differential between now and a 2012 model would be significant. Even if there was, you can start saving NOW to cover the additional markup.
If you wait for year-end closeout specials, the availability of a particular style, color and/or option will be extremely limited. I tried getting a black on black Platinum 4x4 with moonroof while I was deployed (to take advantage of the military discount) but the in-country sales rep couldn't find any and the next model years were about to come on line.
