Getting the transmission upgrade done on my 2013 FX4 today. Would really hate to experience that sudden downshift from 6th to 1st!! Service Rep said the shifting might feel a bit snappier...not sure why but I guess we'll see. Also, he did suggest heavier oil for those 5.0's with the tick. Additionally, he indicated there may be a recall for that despite the formal announcement indicating no action would be taken. Good news is he indicated it shouldnt cause any long term issues.

Dropped it off at 9 am. Received a call it was done right about 1pm. Unlikely they started it right at 9 so likely 3 hrs which is what they told me upfront.

3 hours? I was told it takes about 45 minutes. Taking mine in tomorrow.

Dropped mine off at 0830 this morning....was done by 1030 (they also fixed the cable on the driver's side rear door). It did indeed shift a bit 'snappier.'

They told me a few hours when I made the appt and I planned to wait...but they offered me a shuttle home so I took it.
