my reference to fuse27 to the tranny lines was purely that both are known "ticking time bombs", both can be DIY repairs on an afternoon in the driveway, both relativity inexpensive repairs and both offer piece of mind.

with all that said, now I guess I'll start planning my tranny line fix. I'd hate to end up with "tranny fluid egg" on my face.

the most dreaded part for me, is checking/topping off the fluid once lines are done, darn tranny dipstick and fill port.

Oh, i know, it wasn't a knock at your suggestion, just that this has far more expensive repercussions

I've got the levelling and checking down to a T now, will be doing my third pan drop in the not too distant future, in fact, at the same time i do the lines, for obvious reasons

Best to pump it in. I put a faucet 3/8? copper pipe to get into the trans hole and attach to the hose end. A U shape.

Yeah, absolutely any kind of oil/fluid transfer tool is best, cheap hand pumps from autozone are fine.

I bought one for the differential fluid i have to replace. What about any air that could get in?

would a double ended barbed connector work?

That'll do fine, what's the air you're talking about? when you open the cap, it's open to the air - if you're referring to bleeding the system, it self bleeds, especially when you get the trans temp to 200.

Funny you say that. Filling/checking the trans is a great way to get actual tranny fluid in the face.

So, is this pricing related to our discussions?
