Transfer case issues.
Got in some of the sticky stuff today. While the truck was spinning in 2wd, I could hear a grinding noise coming from under the truck. put it in 4wd and heard the same noise while the tires were spinning. Just weird noise. Doesnt do it unless the tires a slipping. Had all the traction control off.

That is the one wheel spin control (electronic-lsd) using the ABS system to do its job. It is separate from the traction control and can never be deactivated.
