Unhappy Tried installing SOLO MR400 cat back this morning but...

I am thinking I was accidentally shipped the 157" system and not the 145" like I ordered. I have placed a call to Jeff @ solo Performance and left a message explaining my problem. But it's Saturday so hopefully Monday I will hear back from him. I also sent pics via SMS text too so he could see it too.

What do you all think? I measured the mid section between the muffler and adjustable J pipe and it was a length of 44.25" long. Can anyone measure their mid pipe on a 145" wheel based F 150 with a Solo MR400 single cat back and let me know your results, please.

Bummed me out big time. Only to put the OE exhaust back on.
Post couple pics shortly having trouble uploading from phone.

aren't all the kits sent for 157" that away the buyer can cut to their desired length?

i know all kits i've ever ordered are shipped to fit the longest cab length.

just grab your sawzall and cut it.

I can't say for Solo but I know for Stainless Works they are all built for the 6.5 bed and you just cut it down to the 5.5 bed if needed. Should be marked where you cut it.

But then my hangers would be useless if I cut the pipe like suggested. Plus the install instructions said NOTHING about cutting. Pic below:

Another pic a close up of the problem. I am hoping Jeff will send me one of correct length along with a UPS ARS label to send back the wrong one. Monday will tell I guess what the future holds for me and this exhaust system.

Got to tell you the customer service is great at Solo Performance! Jeff replied back to me on my way to church this afternoon. Below was his response:

Hi Bill,
*
I’m so sorry!! Your order clearly says 145WB and yes you definitely were shipped the 157. I apologise for this error. We’ll overnight a 145” mid pipe to you on Monday morning so that you can have it on Tues. Again were so sorry for this inconvenience.

For giggles it would be fun to run without the mid pipe, just for a block or two.

Glad you you got it figured out. Because you DEFINITELY do not need to cut the pipes on the solo. They make the exhaust to fit both bed/cab configurations.

Sorry for your trouble! Happy they took care of you.

I am glad I have decided to order a Solo Performance exhaust. I have read NOTHING but EXCELLENT customer service from the folks at Solo. I need to get my order in soon!
