If you're not pushing the transmission hard by towing or heavy acceleration, then the transmission is not generating heat. Heat is a by product of friction. This is a good thing as heat will break down the transmission fluid faster over time.

my gauge is slow to react..if i need to i just look at the center display..

Spent all day towing with my 6.2 and it warmed up to 90c and then after that it stayed right there and never moved.

The transmission is thermostatically controlled so it will always have a relatively high (when compared to older automatics) specific operating range. 190-210F is nothing out of the ordinary

Thanks, once I started looking at it I ran 197 for about 120 miles. I bought the truck over the phone with the web sales manager....the salesman that did the paperwork was in a hurry to get away :}
