Default Trans gear indication

Hi. I am new here and wanting to learn. I just got a '14 supercab xlt
with the V6 engine and no turbo...automatic.
I am wanting to know if there is a way to get on the screen on the truck to show the actual gear the truck is in at any given time. I want to make sure it shifting up and I am in 6 th gear on the highway.
I haven't driven it enuf to sense the shifting (if one can). Was amazed to see there is no way to check the trans fluid level.
Thanks for any input
Pete

if you have the select shift transmission I know you can push the plus while your in drive and it shows the gears on the right hand side of the screen, if you don't have the select shift transmission then I'm not sure.

I am sure it does. The shifter is on the column and I think the button is on the right hand stalk. Think I remember seeing + and - on it.

Something else...will pressing the + or - cause the trans to shift or just give the indication of what gear it's in ?

Pushing up will just display or remove the gear indicator, pushing down will basically lock it out of that gear until you go back up. It's ment for towing so it doesn't keep shifting up and down. So yes the - will shift it down and eliminate that gear till you push the + then it will shift back up

Sounds good ! I will try pressing the - when in drive to see my gears as they change up and down. I just want to be sure it's going all the way to 6 gear. I used the M selection today and changed it manually. Worked great. Did not try for gear indication in drive yet.
Very happy with my truck so far.
Thanks to all.
