Hey guys, I have a 2010 XL with the factory installed 4/7 pin harness and hitch. Problem is, my XL doesn't have the display over the stereo. Does this mean I would have no info on the TBC, or would it use the display on the main cluster? Thanks!

PS- I hope nobody asked this already... I don't wanna get yelled at...

Got my TBC installed and programmed today. It shows up on the instrument cluster and also displays the +/- gain. And I can make changes to the +/- gain. So I guess this has been programmed correctly and is working as suppose to. Any one know if this is correct?

I have yet to try it hooked to a trailer that has electric brakes, though. Hopefully soon.

Also, just to add my 2 cents on dealers. I had originally ordered this option when I placed the order for my truck with the dealer. It somehow did not get installed at FoMoCo. So I complained to the dealer and they agreed to order the TBC and install it at cost. Well, they tried to charge me $284. I told them to have this installed at FoMoCo as originally should have been, that the option was $230 retail and $191 dealer invoice. They ended up giving it to me wholesale plus taxes. But they tried to screw me.

Just thought I would pass this on and maybe this will help some one in the future.
