Traction help
Someone was telling me that there is something you can do to the suspension to help the rear wheels grab when accelerating hard from a dig. Says they attach to the leaf springs and aren't too expensive.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? Think it starts with an S. (This is why I seriously need to start writing things down...).

I have considered traction bars, but I think he said they were something else, maybe similar.
How to traction bars effect daily driving type of ride? I don't mind a slight change, but hoping these don't cause a bad hop over bumps. I assume these will also stop wheel hop? That alone could help prevent rear end damage too

I have a 4x4, but the reason I am asking about this is because putting it in 4WD increases drag dramatically and there is a lot of tq management in the 4WD systems. I love my 4WD when it's raining, so 2WD was not an option, since this was a DD. I am simply looking for ways to cut down on needing 4WD for acceleration purposes from a dig. This will equal less wear and tear on the drive train and greatly increase acceleration.
*Edit* Found the name of them; Caltracks. Not sure why I thought they started with an S.
Anyone have info on these? Are they bad for the trucks?

No difference in daily driving and you can feel a big difference when hard accelerating, rear end feels more planted, no give.
They also cure wheel hop. Can't comment on the caltrac's never used them. I do recall a discussion in the forum a while ago about them and it wasn't favorable compared to ladder bars.
