Traction Control in the snow?
Hey guys,
I live in Denver and was driving home tonight in the aftermath of the big snow storm we had in 4wheel drive. I have 295 70 18 Nitto Trail Grapplers and they did very well when going straight. The only thing I kept noticing is that when I would go around corners they just felt like they would not grab or pull straight, especially sharp corners I would even slide a little bit?? On the way home I decided hey, I wonder if the traction control is doing this? I turned it off and I noticed an immediate difference, felt like the truck was digging in and pulling perfectly straight with no sliding. Anybody else noticed this with really deep snow and ice? I just wonder how safe it is to roll around with the TC off in those conditions?

I'm no pro, nor do I have this feature, but from my general understanding, it just stops you from spinning your tires. Now in snowy conditions they will probably spin, thus putting more restraint on your TC because its working not to. So it might be better to keep it off during those weather conditions. Though like I said I think I just got a general understanding of TC.
If I'm wrong please someone correct me so I'm not giving bad info lol.
