This is a great mod....strictly for having fun "off road"....not on. Listen everybody, some people wanna be able to pull into the the muddy field, kill the TC 100% and do sideways slides or whatever. Some people wanna be able to do burnouts until the rear wheels pop, that's what this mod is for....having some fun with the truck, or when you have to really nail the throttle hard to push thru 3 foot snowbanks for the hell of it.....great mod, easy to do...reading some of these posts it's obviously not for everyone....glad I'm not one of those guys :P

so you shut everything off under the my key setting. i might try this to see if it works.

I got excited after I read that this again today too, so I went out and checked my manual and it said you cannot disable the advancetrac. Turning it off on mykey only disables being able to turn it off.

so no dice.

Quick question, I just did this mod and love it. It functions as it should. Do you turn the switch off when you turn the truck off and just turn it back on when you start the truck ? I turn it off only when driving off road in the mud and have been turning the switch off when I turn the truck.

My switch is on 24/7 unless I have to shut the traction control off like mud or snow. Never has hurt my battery. I walk out in my garage and the inside of my truck has a faint glow of blue in it (:
